After some friendly flirting with Jenna, Kevin decided that now was his time to make his move. He wanted to make it special and romantic because a girl as amazing as Jenna definitely deserved at least that much. So he decided to come up with a plan, trick Jenna into thinking that he’s coming over so she can help him ask out another girl but really he was going to do something way different. He hopped into the shower before slipping on some slim black jeans and a plain blue shirt and his shoes. Before Jenna’s house, he made a trip to the store to buy some roses. As he purchased the flowers, he found himself actually starting to feel nervous. Trying to distract himself with the radio once he got in his car, he drove to Jenna’s and the closer and closer he got to her house, the more nervous he got but he could do this, the worst thing that could happen is her saying no.
Getting out of his car, he walked up to her front door, hiding the flowers behind his back as he knocked. Rocking back and forth nervously as he waited for Jenna to answer, there was no turning back now and after giving himself a quickly, mental pep talk, he found himself actually getting excited.
Jenna was torn. Part of her was excited that Kevin was coming over but the other part was upset with why he was coming over to see her - to get her help to ask another woman out. Shutting down her lap top, she got up off of the couch and started to pace a bit. The Asian woman has had a serious crush on her best friend ever since she laid eyes on him the first time but recently, her feelings for him had changed and grown over time. She let out a sigh and shook her head. If she really loved him then she would want him to be happy and maybe, this other woman was going to do that for him. Jenna knew that it would be hard for her to get over him but she has to but that means she has to give up being all touchy-feely with him and going to him for cuddling and whatnot which was going to bite because she loves all of that.
Heading upstairs, Jenna changed in some more appropriate clothing then she brushed her hair and put it up into a messy bun. Taking in her appearance, she nodded her head before looking up when she heard a knock at the door. Walking back downstairs, she took a deep breath before opening the door. Smiling as bright as she could even though she knows that her heart is gonna get broken once Kevin tells her the identity of the mystery woman. “Hey Kev. Come on in.” Standing back, she let him into her house before closing the door. “So how are you doing?”
Kevin grinned when she opened the door, it had been awhile since they’d hung out and he definitely missed seeing her. He stepped inside, his heart beating faster as he tried to sort out what he was going to say. He was so busy trying to calm himself down he almost forgot to answer her question “Oh..uh..you know the usual, tired and stuff, but I actually wanted to show you something. I came up with a way to ask the really amazing girl out, tell me what you think.” Taking a deep breath Kevin pulled out the flowers from behind his back before he looked over at Jenna “I’m not really good with words when I’m nervous, but I’ll try my best for you. When I first saw you, I knew you were special. You were so beautiful, definitely way more beautiful than any other girl I’d ever met before. Then we talked and talked and you made me laugh, you made me feel so happy and I loved making you smile. Your smile could brighten up my whole day because seeing you happy makes me happy. I’m actually being a giant asshole right now and you don’t know it, you see I came over here to get help from you to ask you a girl out but what you didn’t know was that girl was you..so now I’m asking you please, would be kind enough and go out with me?”
